TOOLS FOR YOUR TRADE
If
you're an Australian apprentice who is in the first year of an
Australian apprenticeship and undertaking a qualification leading
towards an eligible trade occupation, you may be able to receive a tool
kit.
If you are deemed eligible, your employer will be given a Tools For
Your Trade voucher card to purchase tools, making them available for
you to use. When you’ve completed nine months of your Australian
apprenticeship, the tool kit is yours to keep.
HOW TO BUY YOUR TOOL KIT?
Once your eligibility for this Initiative has been confirmed, TFYT will
send your employer a Tool Kit Purchase Pack -- including an $800
voucher card which can be used at our store for the purchase of yout
tools.
The tool kit contents can only be purchased using the voucher card issued by the Tools For Your Trade team.
WHAT CAN BE PURCHASED?
The tool kit can contain one or more tools or other items appropriate to you and your trade qualification.
Your employers must purchase the tool kit contents on your behalf,
however they should do so in consultation with you.
Together, you can choose items such as:
* trade tools
* a tool box
* protective clothing/uniforms
* books/training manuals
