Petzl Handled Ascender (RH). Ergonomic molded handle for comfort and thermal insulation. Lower holes for connecting a lanyard and installing a foot loop with a quick link. Upper holes through which a karabiner attaches the device to the rope (useful for back-up belays or hauling). Weight: 196g.

For ropes between 8 and 13 mm in diameter. Right-handed version.

SRTE Large Explorer Ascender (LH). Ergonomically shaped with a comfort grip handle. Explorer ascenders may have an oval karabiner inserted through the main top rigging hole on the rope closure side. A karabiner in this position enables the ascender to be used as a fall arrest ascender or as a self belay ascender. The ascender slides smoothly up the rope. Weight: 300g.
